Cumulative Grade Point Average

Academic Program Grade Point Average (GPA)

In academic programs, a student’s term/semester grade point average (GPA) is determined by dividing the total number of earned points by the total number of semester hours for which the student received a grade.

The Lincoln College cumulative grade point average (GPA) is computed by dividing the total grade points earned by the total semester hours attempted, excluding any hours for which a withdrawal (W) was received.  Only Lincoln College course work is considered in computing the GPA.

Vocational/Technical Program Grade Percentage (Midwest College of Cosmetology)

In the Midwest College of Cosmetology vocational/technical certificate programs, a student’s grade percentage is determined according to the percentages earned by the student on all exams, practical work, and attendance in classes at the end of each module of a course and/or at the end of the semester.
