Introduction to Admissions at Lincoln College-Normal
Lincoln College-Normal welcomes applications for admission for all students who feel that they can benefit from and contribute to the varied academic and extracurricular offerings of the College. Admission to all divisions of the campus and their programs (Traditional Academic Programs, ABE, and MCC) is based on a holistic approach. Each applicant’s total academic and extracurricular record is reviewed. Care is taken to ascertain that the potential student’s goals and aspiration are consistent with the degree requirements and their academic abilities.
The admission requirements to Lincoln College-Normal may vary according to the program of study and/or the campus division to which the student applies. The traditional academic programs, the Center for Adult Learning and Accelerated Bridge to Education (ABE), and the Midwest College of Cosmetology have separate requirements outlined below. Students who are below the minimum academic admissions requirements for the campus division to which they are applying may submit required documents for review by the Academic Review Committee. Students who are accepted through the Academic Review Committee may be preliminarily admitted pending completion of their current coursework at another institution.
The Office of Admissions is located in the Admissions Building on the south side of the Lincoln College-Normal campus. Office hours are from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday through Friday or by appointment.
